Our maintenance program at M & L Transit Systems process includes two daily pre-trip inspections of the primary route vehicles by the operators. This enables us to immediately identify and address any issues.

We use Keller’s Maintenance Manager® for our vehicle maintenance program and output daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (VIRs). Daily information is captured from VIRs and individual management reports are generated for each vehicle. These reports display mileage, time in service, malfunctions, and other operational data. The fleet manager analyzes these reports, prioritizes and reviews them for any safety-related failures, and then schedules the work accordingly.

If a vehicle has a safety-related malfunction, it is placed out of service until it has been inspected by a technician. Every two months or 5,000 miles (whichever comes first), vehicles are scheduled for a preventive maintenance (PM) inspection and any necessary repairs. 

All work performed is documented and entered in our database when it is completed. At any time, a vehicle history can be accessed by a technician in order to examine any trends which could lead to an out-of-service issue. This program is approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. In addition, all of our buses fall under the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance Program and are inspected by the Department of Public Utilities randomly once per month.

Our technicians have years of experience in diesel engine repair, AC, heating, and general maintenance for all RVs, touring, and other buses.

Ready and able to dispatch for emergency roadside repairs, our service truck is outfitted with a Goodall Start-All® generator, a full set of tools, and an air compressor.
